Dr. Vladimir Privman, 63, of Potsdam
Apr 16, 2018Dr. Privman was born on January 2, 1955 in Lviv, Ukraine, son of the late Lipa Privman and Bronislava Shenkar. He earned a Sc.D. in Physics from the Israeli Institute of Technology, Technion and completed post-graduate training at Cornell University and California Institute of Technology. He married Marina Kerbel on May 22, 1980 in Haifa, Israel.He was a Professor of Physics at Clarkson University and work was his life. He loved being a physicist and enjoyed hiking with family, traveling, and reading. He was a member of Congregation Beth El in Potsdam.Vladimir is survived by his wife Marina; his three children, Lior Privman and his wife Sarah Huang of Fort Lee, NJ; Michael and his wife Marissa Privman of Gaithersburg, MD; and Eve Privman Champaloux and her husband Marc of Charlottesville, VA; two grandchildren, Reid and Blake Privman; a sister, Robin and her husband Ed Zimmerman of Teaneck, NJ; his brother Boris Privman of Fort Lee, NJ; two nieces; and one nephew.Friends may call at the Donaldson-Seymour Funeral Home on Tuesday, from 5-7 pm.
